Introduction
These terms explain how the Africhange Afripoints and Referral Program works. Through this program, you can earn Afripoints when you invite friends to join Africhange and they complete their first qualifying transaction.
By taking part in the program, you agree to these terms as well as the Africhange Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
The referral program is available to registered Africhange users in the United Kingdom who are 18 years or older and have an active account in good standing. You must also complete the required identity verification before you can participate.
Both you and the person you refer must have Africhange accounts registered in the United Kingdom.
Referring a friend
You can invite friends by sharing your unique referral link or code from the referral section of the Africhange app.
For a referral to count, your friend must sign up using your link or code and must be a new Africhange user who has not previously created an account.
Africhange tracks referrals through its systems, so it is important that your friend signs up using your referral code.
Referral reward
When your friend signs up and completes their first qualifying transaction, both of you will receive 10 Afripoints worth £10.
Rewards may sometimes change during special promotions, but the details will always be shown in the Africhange app.
Qualifying transaction
A qualifying transaction is your friend’s first successful transaction on Africhange that involves sending money between two different currencies and is at least £100.
The transaction must be completed successfully and must not be cancelled, refunded, or reversed.
Transactions that involve the same currency, withdrawals, internal transfers, or sending money to yourself will not count as qualifying transactions.
Receiving your Afripoints
Afripoints are usually credited within 48 hours after the qualifying transaction has been completed. In some cases, rewards may take a little longer if the transaction needs to go through additional checks.
Afripoints are promotional points that can only be used within Africhange. They cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.
Using Afripoints
Afripoints can be used to reduce the amount you pay when sending money through Africhange. When you start a transfer in the app, you can apply your available Afripoints and the value will be deducted from the total payable amount.
Your transfer must be at least £100, and the currency you send must match the base currency(GBP) of your Africhange account.
Afripoints expiry
Afripoints expire 30 days after they are credited if they are not used. Once expired, they cannot be restored.
Program guidelines
The referral program is designed for genuine invitations between friends. Self-referrals, creating multiple accounts, or attempting to manipulate transactions is not allowed.
If unusual or suspicious activity is detected, Africhange may cancel the reward or restrict participation in the program.
Changes to the program
Africhange may update the referral program or these terms from time to time. Any updates will be shared through the Africhange website, app, or email.
Taxes
If any taxes apply to rewards you receive through the referral program, you are responsible for reporting and paying them.
