Afripoints and Referral Program Terms and Conditions for Africhange UK

Introduction

These Terms govern your participation in Africhange's Afripoints and Referral Program (the "Program"), through which you can earn Afripoints by referring customers to Africhange and completing qualifying transactions.

Eligibility

The Program is open to registered customers of Africhange UK who are UK residents aged 18 or over, with an active Africhange account in good standing.

Both the referrer (you) and referee (referred customer) must be based in the UK. 

Referrals

Africhange offers an invite-a-friend scheme where you can earn Afripoints for successful referrals. We will notify you of Referral offers via email (unless you've opted out of marketing), and offer details will be available in the "Afripoints or Referral" tab in the app. 

Earning Afripoints

You can earn Afripoints by referring new customers to Africhange using your unique referral link. The referred customer must sign up through your link and complete a qualifying transaction for you to earn Afripoints. Qualifying transactions include sending money using Africhange, with the specific amount of Afripoints earned per transaction specified in your account.

Reward

You and your friend can each earn 20 Afripoints worth £20 when they complete one Qualifying Transaction.

Redeeming Afripoints

Afripoints can be used to reduce the transaction amount when sending money through Africhange. To redeem your Afripoints, apply your balance to the international money transfer on Africhange, which will lower the payable transfer amount. The maximum Afripoints that can be redeemed per transaction is 100, and the transaction must be at least £100 to apply points. Please note that Afripoints cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation and can only be used for this specific purpose.

Program Requirements

Referrers: Invite friends via the "Invite friends to Africhange" button, send your unique referral link or code, and comply with Referral Terms and usual Africhange Terms and Conditions.

Maintain an open account in good standing.

Invitees: Sign up using the unique link/code, download the app, complete onboarding, complete one Qualifying Transaction, and comply with Referral Terms and usual Africhange Terms and Conditions. Maintain an open account in good standing.

Qualifying Transaction

Qualifying Transaction is a successful international money transfer or remittance from the UK, where the first transaction is £100 or more. Exceptions include transactions involving sending money to oneself, refunds, withdrawals, or canceled transactions.

Program Benefits

You and your friend will receive the reward within 30 days of meeting the criteria, subject to Referral Terms and usual Africhange Terms and Conditions.

Limitations and Conditions

Time Limit: Complete steps within the Promotion Period. No Existing Members: Existing Africhange members cannot be referred. Maximum Referrals: Maximum of 20 successful referrals per referrer. Afripoints earned through fraudulent means will be voided. Afripoints are non-transferable and can only be used by the account holder who earned them. Africhange reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation in the Program if there is suspected fraudulent activity.

Expiration of Afripoints

Afripoints will expire 6 months after they are earned if not used.

Changes to the Program

Africhange reserves the right to modify or terminate the Program and these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated through the Africhange website and/or email.

Limitation of Liability

Africhange will not be liable for losses or damages arising from the use of the Afripoints Program, except where caused by Africhange's negligence or breach of these Terms.

Tax Status

Rewards may be subject to tax, for which you are solely responsible.

Use of Personal Data

We will only use your data for administering the Referrals offer reward, in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of England and Wales.
